London, meet your new wheels: Co Wheels expands across the capital
August 10th, 2026
More boroughs. More cars. More ways to get moving. Co Wheels is rapidly expanding its London network, with vehicles now available across 14 boroughs and even more locations on the horizon.
London has never been short of ways to get around. But sometimes, nothing quite beats having a car when you need one.
Whether you're heading out of the city for the weekend, doing a big shop, picking up something bulky or simply travelling somewhere that's a little harder to reach by public transport, having access to a car can make life considerably easier.
The problem? You don't necessarily need to own one.
That's where Co Wheels comes in.
Our London network is growing quickly, with vehicles now available across Camden, Islington, Hackney, Wandsworth, Lambeth, Southwark, Brent, Richmond, Tower Hamlets, Greenwich, Croydon, Barnet, Sutton and Redbridge.
And we're not stopping there. From north to south, east to west, Co Wheels is bringing car club access to more London communities. With vehicles positioned close to key transport links, including King's Cross, members can also combine car club journeys with rail and public transport.
Co Wheels believes that you shouldn't have to own a car just to have access to one.
For people who drive occasionally, owning a vehicle can mean paying for something that's parked up for much of the week. There's insurance to arrange, servicing to remember, maintenance to pay for and, of course, the small matter of finding somewhere to park it in London.
With Co Wheels, members can book a car when they actually need one. That could mean an hour for a quick trip, a few hours for errands or a whole day for a longer adventure. The choice is yours.
A Co Wheels car can look very different depending on who's booking it. For one member, it might be the car that gets them to the airport with three suitcases. For another, it's the vehicle they use for a weekly shop. It could be a family day out, a visit to relatives, a trip to IKEA, a rainy-day rescue or a spontaneous weekend outside London. And for someone else, it might simply be the occasional car they need once every few weeks.
That's the beauty of car sharing. The car doesn't have to fit into your life every day. It just needs to be there when you need it.
As Co Wheels continues to expand, we're working with councils, developers, housing providers and local partners to put shared cars in places where they can make the biggest difference.
The goal isn't simply to add more cars to London. It's to make car access easier while reducing the need for car ownership.
More shared vehicles can mean more choice for residents, fewer households needing to own a car and better connections between car travel and London's extensive public transport network.
And with Co Wheels now operating across 14 boroughs, that network is becoming easier for more Londoners to tap into.
Your next Co Wheels journey could be a five-minute trip across town, a family adventure, a big supermarket run or your ticket out of London for the weekend.
Whatever the journey, you can have the freedom of a car without having to own one.
London has plenty of places to go. We've got the wheels.
