Cornwall Council is working with Co Wheels to trial a weekend car club, offering residents and community groups public access to our Co Wheels pool cars on Saturdays and Sundays.

The trial is designed to extend the benefits of low-cost, clean car travel to communities across Cornwall.

By making these vehicles available outside of Cornwall Council’s standard working hours, the cars will get increased use and support residents and community groups to gain flexible, affordable access to cleaner vehicles, supporting our shared goal of reducing carbon emissions and improving sustainable travel choices.

Co Wheels cars will initially be available in six different locations across Cornwall in Penzance, Pool, Truro, St Austell, Bodmin, and Liskeard.

This trial marks the beginning of a bigger project that will see more car club vehicles located within communities, available for 24/7 public use, making rural mobility more accessible and affordable.
