OverWater Marina, a multi-award winning marina near Nantwich, has become the first location in Cheshire to host its own Co-wheels car.
The marina, striving to promote responsible boating and environmentally-friendly business, is now home to a Toyota Yaris Hybrid, which will provide boaters with a sustainable method of transport for getting around once moored.
The addition of the new Toyota Yaris will help the marina's efforts to preserve the environment, as well as offer low-cost, convenient car hire for its visitors, with easy access to surrounding villages across the county.
Visitors can sign up to join Co-wheels on the day of their arrival, as well as register online, and receive their smartcard to allow them keyless access to the vehicle. The car can be booked at any time of day, for as little as 30 minutes, or days at a time, to ensure that visitors have access to sustainable transport for as long as they need, when they need it.
Managing Director of Co-wheels Car Club, Richard Falconer, espoused the new partnership with OverWater Marina: "We are delighted to be working with OverWater Marina to provide a flexible travel resource for boaters and visitors in this stunning location."
"Joining the car club is a perfect solution for anyone looking to have a car for short periods of time, and we hope this really opens up travel opportunities for anyone visiting the marina by boat."
OverWater Marina is one of the most recent locations to join the nationwide network of Co-wheels cars, which currently provides cleaner, low-impact driving in more than 60 locations across the UK.
