Co-wheels car club gives Robert Gordon University staff free and exclusive access to the on-site electric car and van for university business any day of the week.
It's a great alternative to using your own car for work purposes and ideal for travel for short meetings between campuses and in the local area.
How it works:
Join Co-wheels on their booking site using your RGU email address - have your driving licence and NI number to hand to authorise your account.
Once your application has been checked you will receive your Co-wheels information pack and smartcard.
Find and book the car or van using the online booking system.
Collect it from its dedicated parking bay at RGU House or RGU Sport.
Use it as necessary.
Return the vehicle to its dedicated parking bay at the end of your journey and please plug it in to recharge.
Read the step-by-step registration guide outlining how to sign up to Co-wheels using the online form.
Help us make the scheme work for everyone:
The car can be booked in 30-minute slots, and we want to make the most of it, so please use the car for 1 or 2 hours only, if travelling between campuses, or up to 3 hours if within the local area, to give everyone a chance to use it.
Electric Vehicle - clean & easy to use
Electric vehicles have zero emissions so are much better for the environment, great to drive and they are just as easy to refuel as a conventional car. Just remember to unplug it and put the cable in the boot before you set off and remember to plug it back in so it is fully charged for the next user.
If you haven't used an electric vehicle before, full instructions can be found on the electric vehicle page where you can download the appropriate guide.
