Co-wheels has increased its fleet of low-emissions cars in Bournemouth by four, making the service more convenient to use than ever before.
Co-wheels quietly launched in Bournemouth over a year ago with five cars, mostly used by Bournemouth Borough Council employees for work travel. The car club then officially launched to the public and business in July, which coincided with the addition of three new cars—bringing us up to eight across the borough.
As one of the fastest-growing Co-wheels locations in the country, Bournemouth has just taken delivery of four more Co-wheels cars, meaning there are now 12.
The four new cars are low-emissions Toyota Aygo X Play vehicles, with add-ons including inbuilt satnav, reversing camera, DAB digital radio, and cruise control, to name just a few.
The cars are sympathetically located in new bays where they are not removing any existing parking or causing an obstruction, but are still centrally located.
The four new cars have been placed to “fill the gaps” between existing cars and provide an integrated Co-wheels chain (which links to the public transport network) all the way from Westbourne to Southbourne.
The brand new cars are at:
- Madeira Road (town centre)
- West Road (Pokesdown)
- Iddesleigh Road (Charminster) and
- Gladstone Mews (Boscombe).
The existing cars can be found at:
Poole Road (Westbourne), Bourne Avenue (town centre), Town Hall Annexe (town centre), Wimborne Road (Winton), Christchurch Road (Lansdowne), Christchurch Road (Boscombe), Argyll Road (Boscombe), and Castlemain Avenue (Southbourne).
